David is a seasoned commercial finance professional with extensive experience working in listed multinationals and PE invested companies leading finance teams to complete complex special projects to support rapid growth.
Prior to joining Serakai, David was with Vistra Group in various roles between 2012-2023 including Finance Director, Group Tax and Projects; Finance Director, Group Special Projects and Finance Director. During his tenure with the company, David played a pivotal role in supporting the exponential growth of the business whilst having overall responsibility for major finance projects and tax across the group. Prior to Vistra, David spent 14 years based in Europe at Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia), ultimately serving as European Financial Controller.
David has expertise in acquisition vehicle setup, tax due diligence and M&A as well in controllership, corporate secretarial management and systems integration. While at Vistra he was a member of the team which facilitated the sale of the company via a dual track IPO listing and private sale to a global private equity firm.
David has an honours degree in accountancy from the University of the West of Scotland and is a UK registered Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA).
